Golfing in the Mountains of Pennsylvania

North Western Pennsylvania is known for many different sights and activities, but one very popular and untapped activity is the beautiful golf courses throughout our neck of the “woods”.   Over the years Golf has become a very motivating reason to travel.  Golfers, like skiers like to experience different Golf Courses to challenge their skills and at the same time enjoy a getaway. 

Our Lodge is located along the Clarion River in Cooksburg a central location, and easy access to many golf courses in the area.  Mayfield Golf Course in Clarion, about twenty miles away is one of the most competitive and beautiful courses in the area.  This course has been nationally recognized and has become a key destination for the serious golfer. 

There is also the Treasure Lake Golf Courses which have the very competitive Gold course and the Silver course for the casual golfer.  The lake offers a Country Club open to outside guests, Ski Lodge for casual dining, live music and much more.  This course is a distance away so the lodge will provide transportation for a group of four or more to and from the lake.  

There is a course for the beginner, a par three in Sigel, very close to the lodge called Laurel Run Golf Course.  It is close and fun and a beautiful scenic area.  This would be the perfect course for the family to enjoy.  Visit their site for information and daily rates.

The Pinecrest Golf Course is one of the closest and a very private type of course.  They are locally known for many fund raising tournaments which entice golfers from all over the state to compete.  You can get all the information by visiting their site. 

Since the interest has grown in the past years the Lodge has begun to focus many of our getaways to include golf packages at all of the surrounding courses.  Our staff can organize the Golf Course you choose, with tee times, carts, lunch, transportation and beautiful overnight accommodations at our Lodge.  We have packages that may have a day of golf for the guys and a day at the Spa for the girls, or a weekend spent together, enjoying both.
